Who can use Camzyos(mavacamten)?

Camzyos (mavacamten) is prescribed for adults with symptomatic obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Specifically, those with NYHA class II - III symptoms benefit. These patients experience significant physical activity limitations due to heart muscle thickening that obstructs blood flow.

It suits adults with left ventricular ejection fraction ≥55％ and a ≥50mmHg left ventricular outflow gradient. Elderly patients (≥65) can use it like younger ones. However, it's not for those with LVEF＜55% or pregnant women. Caution is needed in liver or kidney impairment.
